After a quick visit with Pap and Grandma to pick up Brody and a long stop at Babies R Us, we made it home.
We had wonderful visitors- Nana and Pop came for the week to meet our girl. We spent the week hanging out, doing some sightseeing and getting into a routine.
Feeding every 3 hours is going very well, finishing over 50mL each time. Adeline weighed just 4 lbs 14 oz at the doctor's visit at her four day mark, but with how well she's eating, the pediatrician wasn't worried. We rigged out the kitchen scale on Friday morning, and she weighed in at an unofficial 5 lbs 5 oz! That's thrilling for the big people in the house, as once she regains her birth weight, we don't have to wake her up in the middle of the night to eat anymore!
We've received many care packages from relatives, friends and neighbors. A lot of folks brought cards and little trinkets for big brother, too, which made him feel special. The two of them are great together, and he's so anxious to hold her and "help" feed and change her. His helping with diapers consists of handing one of us the clean one while we handle the poop.
