Four Is More!

Well, thanks, Wix, for changing the entire format so I had to create this post sixteen times!
Okay, Addy is going through the COVID-19 crisis like a champ. She has made a lot of adjustments, and she's taken it all in stride. She may be the only one in the house who likes the situation more right now! Immediate access to all of her toys, 2 parents at home who can read stories, play games, do art, go for walks. The biggest complaint is NO PLAYGROUNDS! Since that continues to be her favorite thing, it's kind of a drag. Especially when we bike or walk past so many of the best ones, and can't stop for a quick slide or swing. :(
After a summer of mom being on a knee scooter (foot surgery) and following Brody around while he played lacrosse, she started preschool.

Dad asked her how she liked her new classroom- we got this:

We spent the fall doing normal stuff, going to a couple football games, dressing up for Halloween, general good times.

We took a trip to upstate New York to visit friends who had moved there, and we went to Toronto and Niagara Falls!

Christmas was great- Santa brought a big-girl bicycle!

We were excited to start ballet lessons and even got our gear to be on a T-ball team, but then.... Corona. So, we thought of other fun things to do that included keeping safe and healthy. A lot of hiking and biking:

And we did a couple theme weeks to keep it interesting- Easter was Wizard of Oz

It was tough to explain why Brody got to have a birthday party at the beginning of the month, and she had to cancel her Frozen Birthday party. That's a hard lesson for someone who is four. However, we did a princess-theme Zoom conference with our family and had a big tea party!

She got to choose what we had for dinner, and she went along with the theme of her favorite book- Dragons Love Tacos!
One of her most fun gifts was her karaoke microphone- she sings better than the rest of us!

We did make time for some learning, and did some science lessons about animals who change- got live caterpillars (who did make cocoons and change to beautiful butterflies) and tadpoles, who unfortunately died before they grew legs. :(

And most recently we did a pirate week, filled with songs, lessons and art projects.

And.... it just dawned on me that the videos have to be loaded differently, so here's a long clip of all of them, set to her favorite song right now:
